Job Summary
Own the tech stack and teams running operations at Brightwheel, leading established technical systems architecture and admin teams while redesigning the GTM stack for efficiency in an AI-first world. Personally drive select high-priority workstreams and initiatives, delivering company-wide capabilities that improve business outcomes and support operating cadence. Manage managers and individual contributors across functions, stepping in directly wherever the situation requires it to fix issues or coach others. Navigate an evolving scope as an opportunity, building AI-native workflows that materially change how teams operate rather than relying on incremental automation. Collaborate closely with C-suite leaders to shape strategy using data, creating structure in ambiguity within a distributed team across US time zones.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership experience managing managers across domains
- Experience owning outcomes such as growth, efficiency, conversion, and retention
- Experience working closely with data engineering, software engineering, or technical systems (e.g., Salesforce architecture) to troubleshoot issues directly
- Experience operating in a mid-size, high-growth company where building without inheriting mature infrastructure was required
- Experience navigating a role or org structure that changed shape over time and adapting scope and approach accordingly
- Experience building AI-native workflows or tooling that materially changed how a team or company operated
- Experience collaborating closely with C-suite and executive leaders to shape strategy using data

- Experience personally owning and driving high-priority workstreams and initiatives directly

- Experience driving AI-native transformation across every function owned, including hands-on build where appropriate
- Experience taking ownership beyond remit and moving without a clean, fully-scoped mandate
- Experience leading through strong managers while jumping in to fix issues personally or coaching others
- Experience thinking critically and moving fast, comfortable making calls with incomplete information
- Experience thriving by operating across multiple different functions, some known deeply and some learned as you go
- Experience being honest with oneself and others about which functions are known deeply versus being learned
- Experience seeing an evolving scope as an opportunity rather than a liability
- Experience influencing across teams with competing priorities rather than relying on authority
