Job Summary
Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, delivery requirements, and safety expectations are met. Develop operational strategies that support company growth, increased capacity, and continued production. Drive a culture of Lean Manufacturing by facilitating 5S, Kaizen events, and waste-reduction projects while eliminating bottlenecks through root-cause analysis. Establish and monitor key performance indicators for production, quality, delivery, efficiency, and cost. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and ensure regulatory compliance. Develop and coach supervisors, standardize processes, and use analytical data to drive informed business decisions. Communicate effectively across all levels from executive leadership to employees on the manufacturing floor.
Required Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Significant leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience leading manufacturing operations through a period of growth and organizational change
- Strong hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Demonstrated success improving productivity, quality, throughput, and operational efficiency
- Strong leadership and people-development skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Experience developing and managing operational KPIs
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- Must be a visible, approachable leader who is comfortable spending time on the manufacturing floor
- Strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing controls
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
- Significant leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical device, medical products, or another highly regulated industry
- Strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing controls; medical manufacturing experience strongly preferred
