Job Summary
Director of Operations at DRC Heat Transfer (TUTCO, LLC) leads manufacturing operations strategy for a rapid-growth, multi-site, low-volume, high-mix environment. The role oversees manufacturing processes, continuous improvement initiatives, master production scheduling, Lean practices, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and safety. Responsibilities include maintaining P&L responsibility, shaping short- and long-term manufacturing strategies, expanding facilities and equipment, workforce planning, and developing leadership and talent pipelines. The position requires robust leadership, data-driven decision-making, and a track record of scaling operations in an Engineer-to-Order/Make-to-Order context, with travel between facilities and a strong emphasis on operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, including strategic oversight of multi-site operations within an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and/or Make-to-Order (MTO) manufacturing environment
- Experience leading manufacturing organizations through rapid growth, operational scaling, process optimization, and organizational development
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, operational excellence, and change management initiatives
- Experience with P&L management, capital planning, capacity expansion, workforce planning, and strategic business execution
- Ability to travel between multiple local manufacturing facilities for oversight
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Proven ability to develop high-performing teams and drive accountability across organizational levels
- Knowledge of safety standards, PPE requirements, and regulatory compliance
