Job Summary
As the hotel’s Director of Operations, you will act as second in command, interfacing with department heads to direct and implement policies for the entire hotel, interact with guests, and support the General Manager in administrative duties. You will interview and hire employees, resolve guest complaints, assign duties to department heads, monitor adherence to policies and procedures, and step in as General Manager in their absence. The role requires leadership, strong operations oversight, regulatory awareness, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach to hotel management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hotel management or related field
- at least 4 years of management experience in the hotel industry
- fluently speak, read and understand English
- familiar with OSHA, local Department of Health regulations and relevant current laws governing the handling of hazardous substances
