Job Summary
Lead field operations teams across multiple customer sites by hiring, developing, and managing diverse groups of site managers, technicians, safety managers, and contractors. Coordinate with parent company and installation leaders to drive objectives, create long-term plans, and schedule projects with highly trained personnel to exceed customer expectations in safety, schedule, cost, and quality. Manage large projects valued over $100 million and budgets exceeding $10 million while preventing escalations from reaching senior leaders. Model safe behaviors, support quality processes, coach site leadership, and develop the next generation of technical experts. Assist in developing strategic objectives, align goals with global operations leadership, and implement critical KPIs. Requires up to 25% travel including overnight stays, a valid driver's license, and familiarity with Automated Material Handling Systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in Engineering, Construction or related field
- 5+ years' experience in related field/position
- Previous site management and scheduling experience
- Experience within a construction/manufacturing environment
- Past direct communication and reporting to customer management
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing teams
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer requirements and specifications
- Ability to strategize, develop, present, and negotiate on internal management and customer personnel regarding schedules and implementation/safety procedures for given contracts
- Ability to write reports and to effectively present information to customers and company management
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Excellent technical, financial, organizational, and 'process flow' analytical ability
- Familiarity with Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS)
- Understanding Electro/mechanical and PLC skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
- Management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated
- Adaptable to change and flexible regarding work schedule
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner
- Able to be successful in customer-facing meetings and interactions
- Up to 25% travel including domestic and international with overnight stays
