Job Summary
Director of Operations responsible for leading and overseeing all site functions with P&L ownership. Develop and execute strategic and tactical operational plans, ensuring a safe, high-performance manufacturing environment. Lead cross-functional teams (HR, Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Distribution), drive lean manufacturing initiatives, analyze operating results against costs, and foster growth. This role is highly visible, offering autonomy to implement positive changes and innovate while advancing operational excellence and preparing for greater responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Significant experience in a high-volume, complex chemical environment
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet required deadlines
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office; SAP is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization – Customer-focused (both externally and internally)
- Ability to think strategically at a high level, but able to delve into the details as necessary

- P&L ownership or accountability
- Ability to promote positive changes and drive operational change
- Experience in a manufacturing site environment with autonomous leadership
- Experience with implementation and execution of operational processes and improvements
