Job Summary
Lead ~20 people in Amsterdam and manage branches in France, Spain, and Ireland while reporting to the Managing Director of Europe and sitting on the MFBV Management Board. Own daily safeguarding reconciliation under Wft Article 3:29a and EMD2 Article 23, ensure SLA delivery for outsourced arrangements, and drive governance for operational resilience including DORA, BCP, and incident management. Represent MFBV to DNB and partner with Group functions to enhance quality and efficiency. Full-time role with 33 days annual leave and share options.
Required Qualifications
- Senior operations leadership in payments, fintech, EMI, PSP or regulated financial services
- Outsourcing and provider management across operations, IT and product — both third-party and intra-group
- Management board experience in a regulated entity
- Multi-site European branch management within an international matrix or shared-service structure
- Regulatory awareness and engagement track record — DNB preferred; FCA, CBI, ACPR or equivalent accepted
- Operational resilience, BCP and incident management framework experience
- Process improvement, automation and AI adoption background
- Strong leadership and people management experience with focus on building high performing inclusive teams
- Visible, credible leader with governance discipline and strong follow-through
- Strong outsourcing oversight — monitors, challenges and remediates provider performance
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, practical approach to execution
- Effective communicator across Boards, regulators and global stakeholders
- Scale-up mindset — motivated by building, improving and growing in ambiguous environments
Desired Qualifications
- Embedded payments or B2B fintech experience
- Dutch language skills (professional proficiency)
- Multi-jurisdiction European regulatory change experience
- Familiarity with safeguarding regulations, DORA and first-line compliance frameworks
- Knowledge and experience of Dutch two-tier Board governance
