Job Summary
Director of Operational Accounting overseeing U.S. operations for a Fortune 500 technology company, including leases, inventory, accruals, monthly close, and balance sheet analysis. Leads a senior, largely remote team (>55 professionals), collaborates with Corporate and Group Finance to surface significant transactions and issues, and guides monthly close processes and various analyses. Requires CPA with strong GAAP knowledge (ASC 842 Leases, ASC 330 Inventory, ASC 606 Revenue) and extensive experience in accounting leadership. Located near one of our accounting hubs (Tucson, Knoxville, Huntsville, or Reston) and capable of managing a multi-location team across the country.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA license
- 12+ years of related accounting experience or 10+ years with a Masters in Accounting
- Experience managing a finance/accounting team
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC pronouncements (ASC 842 Leases, ASC 330 Inventory, ASC 606 Revenue)
- Ability to coordinate with Corporate and Group Finance and prepare/advise on monthly close and reporting
- Ability to mentor and develop a large, primarily remote accounting team
- Location near accounting hub locations: Tucson, AZ; Knoxville, TN; Huntsville, AL; Reston, VA
