Job Summary
Director oversees Title IX and civil rights compliance; coordinates investigations conducted by external agency, serves as liaison with investigators, and facilitates communication and documentation; leads Title IX-based prevention, education, and awareness initiatives for students, employees, and the community; develops and maintains the university's EO/AA plan; partners with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition on recruitment alignment with affirmative action; supervises assigned staff and mediators; educates campus on available resources and supports for impacted individuals; manages data collection, reporting, and web maintenance for Title IX matters; advances institutional culture of safety, equity, and inclusion; requires collaboration with a broad network of on- and off-campus partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., student affairs, human resources, higher education administration, diversity/inclusion, gender studies, law, criminology, social work, counseling, psychology) or equivalent experience (7+ years)
- Experience coordinating Title IX investigations and working with external investigators
- Proven ability to develop and implement EO/AA plans and compliance programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce concise, data-driven reports
- Experience in higher education settings with crisis management and mediation
- Commitment to social justice, diversity, and civil rights
- Certified mediator or commitment to become certified within one calendar year of hire
- Ability to collaborate with campus and external partners (law enforcement, counseling centers, victim advocates)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of related experience in higher education or equivalent
- Professional certifications related to Title IX/EOE or commitment to obtain within one calendar year
- Experience coordinating investigations and working with external investigators
- Strong written and verbal communication, policy development, and data analysis skills
- Mediation and conflict resolution experience; certified mediator or willingness to become certified
