Job Summary
Directs the school district's child nutrition program, overseeing overall management, HACCP compliance, menu adherence, production and service quality, budgeting, and district relations. Leads kitchen staff, coordinates daily meal production and transportation to satellite buildings, ensures regulatory compliance and USDA standards, drives customer service improvements, and facilitates HR processes, training, scheduling, and performance management in alignment with Opaa!'s core values.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is minimally required
- A minimum of three years of relevant food service experience or one year of relevant food service experience with an associate’s degree
- Minimum 1 year in customer service/hospitality role – service oriented
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience, preferred
- Working knowledge of kitchen functions and equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write instructions and memos
- Ability to manage staff and ensure HR policies and training are followed
- Ability to manage budgets, labor costs, and food costs
- USDA Professional Standards compliance
