Job Summary
Provide effective, proactive leadership to clinic nurses, infusion nurses, nurse navigators, schedulers, and referral intake coordinators while ensuring competency through ongoing training and education. Maintain adherence to internal standard operating procedures and review incoming protocols for feasibility with nursing operations. Ensure high-quality, coordinated care by communicating care plans, returning patient calls promptly, and managing study allocation equitably. Track metrics for referral intake, enrollment, and screening steps while supporting growth goals for new patient visits and accruals. Lead inter-departmental communication with regulatory, quality, site development, pharmacy, and finance teams to ensure compliance with federal, GCP, and regulatory agency requirements. Utilize continuous process improvement techniques to address areas of improvement for patient and organizational benefit. Manage CTMS and EHR systems to ensure accurate documentation and data capture across all departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- RN license in good standing with state
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate course
- Knowledge of GCP, GDPR and federal clinical research regulations required in US and Europe
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and clinical documentation systems
- Required to travel up to 5% of the time
- Approximately 80% of time is spent sitting
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in nursing or leadership
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
- Previous experience in oncology clinical research
