Job Summary
Provide effective, proactive leadership to clinic nurses, infusion nurses, nurse navigators, schedulers, and referral intake coordinators. Ensure staff competency through training, maintain adherence to internal standard operating procedures, and communicate care plans to patients while handling time-sensitive visits. Serve as a nurse educator and preceptor for new clinical research staff, develop training to support quality standards, and use continuous process improvement to address workflow areas. Review incoming protocols for feasibility, manage study allocation equitably, and track metrics for referral intake and enrollment. Lead efforts to grow enrollment by preventing barriers, ensure inter-departmental communication with regulatory and support teams, and support CTMS and EHR system implementation. Required Bachelor's degree in nursing, RN license, and ONS/ONCC certification. Remote role with M-F 8:00am-5:00pm schedule, up to 5% travel, and $195,000-$205,000 annual base salary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- RN license in good standing with state
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate course
- Knowledge of GCP, GDPR and federal clinical research regulations required in US and Europe
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and clinical documentation systems
- Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time
- Must be able to work in a very fast-paced and ever-changing healthcare environment
- Must be able to handle demanding deadlines and time frames
- Must be able to handle constant demand for updating knowledge
- Must be able to work closely with physicians and ancillary personnel in caring for and treating oncology/hematology patients
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in nursing or leadership
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
- Previous experience in oncology clinical research
