Job Summary
Provide effective, proactive leadership to clinic nurses, infusion nurses, nurse navigators, schedulers, and referral intake coordinators. Ensure competency of staff through training and education while maintaining adherence to internal standard operating procedures. Communicate care plans and schedules to patients, return calls promptly, and provide same-day visits for time-sensitive issues. Serve as a preceptor for new clinical research staff and review incoming protocols for feasibility with nursing operations. Track metrics for referral intake, enrollment, and screening steps to lead enrollment growth efforts. Ensure inter-departmental communication with regulatory, quality, site development, pharmacy, and finance teams to support compliance with federal, GCP, and regulatory agency requirements. Manage study allocation equitably and utilize CTMS and EHR systems for accurate documentation and data capture. Work M-F 8:00am-5:00pm with up to 5% travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- RN license in good standing with state
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate course
- Knowledge of GCP, GDPR and federal clinical research regulations required in US and Europe
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and clinical documentation systems
- Required to travel up to 5% of the time
- Approximately 80% of time is spent sitting
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in nursing or leadership
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
- Previous experience in oncology clinical research
