Job Summary
Direct the nursing services department by planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating programs in accordance with current rules and regulations. Ensure medical and nursing care aligns with resident wishes, including advance directives, while overseeing staff development and infection prevention initiatives. Monitor 24-hour and change-of-shift reports for significant changes in resident condition, medication administration, and safety incidents. Actively participate in the QAPI Committee, risk management, and safety committees to drive performance improvement and mitigate risk. Requires a current unencumbered RN license, minimum three years of supervisory experience, and six months in rehabilitative nursing. On-call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, with work extending beyond normal hours and weekends. STGi provides workforce solutions and healthcare delivery services.
Required Qualifications
- current unencumbered active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State
- knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
- three (3) year(s) of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related health care facility
- six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- ability to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
- ability to work on call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week
- ability to work in office areas as well as throughout the facility and its premises
- ability to handle frequent interruptions
