Job Summary
As the Director of Nursing (DON) at Spring River Rehabilitation & Care Center, you will serve as the clinical leader responsible for directing and overseeing all nursing services to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care. You will supervise and develop nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), manage staffing and scheduling, monitor clinical outcomes, and lead QAPI initiatives to drive continuous quality improvement. You will ensure regulatory compliance with CMS and state requirements, oversee documentation in the EMR, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes, participate in budget planning, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassionate care. The role requires RN licensure in New Mexico, CPR/BLS certification, and prior nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting, along with strong knowledge of PDPM, RAI/MDS processes, infection control, and survey readiness. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current, active RN license in the State of New Mexico
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1-2 years nursing leadership or supervisory experience in skilled nursing/long-term care
- Comprehensive knowledge of CMS and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
