Job Summary
Director of Nursing Services (DON) oversees nursing operations within a 90-resident senior living community, providing resident-centered care and leading nursing staff through two nurse managers. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, supervising, scheduling, monitoring staffing and supplies, overseeing medication management, care coordination, clinical documentation, infection prevention, quality improvement initiatives, admissions/readmissions, resident/family liaison, and participation in budget planning. The DON collaborates with physicians and external providers and represents the organization in professional/community activities. Requires Virginia RN license, BSN, and 3+ years of nursing leadership experience. The role utilizes the Yardi EHR system and is based in Reston, VA with full-time daytime schedule.
