Job Summary
Plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for each resident while developing and monitoring care goals with the healthcare team. Ensure nursing services maximize quality of care, protect resident rights, and maintain compliance with governmental standards and regulations. Staff the facility to meet state and federal requirements, manage the clinical budget, and establish safety rules incorporating company policies. Supervise clinical staff, coach employees, hold them accountable, and provide continuing education. Report staffing challenges to the administrator and oversee data accuracy. Requires an RN license, two years in geriatric nursing, and supervisory experience with budgets and training. Full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401-K, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- degree or diploma in nursing (RN) from an accredited program
- license in the state of the facility in good standing
- two or more years in geriatric nursing, administering medications, utilizing delivery systems and pharmacies
- two years in supervisory/management positions, including experience with budgets, staff development, training, and scheduling
- working knowledge of the MDS process, state and federal surveys, and CMS
- ability to follow directions and work independently
- ability to relate positively with others
- meeting all health requirements imposed by law
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications
