Job Summary
Plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for each resident while developing and monitoring care goals with the healthcare team. Ensure nursing services maximize quality of care and protect resident rights by supervising compliance with governmental standards, including staff and resident data. Staff the facility to meet state and federal regulations, manage the clinical budget, and establish safety rules incorporating company policies. Provide ethical leadership, coach clinical staff, and hold them accountable for adherence to regulatory standards. This role reports to the administrator and regional director of nursing. The position requires an RN license in good standing, two years in geriatric nursing, and two years in supervisory management with experience in budgets and staff development. Familiarity with the MDS process, state and federal surveys, and CMS is essential.
Required Qualifications
- degree or diploma in nursing (RN) from an accredited program
- license in the state of the facility in good standing
- two or more years in geriatric nursing, administering medications, utilizing delivery systems and pharmacies
- two years in supervisory/management positions, including experience with budgets, staff development, training, and scheduling
- working knowledge of the MDS process, state and federal surveys, and CMS
- ability to follow directions and work independently
- ability to relate positively with others
- meeting all health requirements imposed by law
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company applications
