Job Summary
Ensure all clinical care meets regulatory requirements, HIQA standards, and company quality systems. Oversee person-centred care planning, lead staff induction and training, and manage administrative functions including financial procedures and budget oversight. Implement Health & Safety and fire-safety procedures, maintain compliance with legislative requirements, and manage the complaints process. Participate in recruitment, selection, and workforce planning while ensuring HR policies align with employment legislation. This Director of Nursing role is based in a nursing home in Co Clare, Ireland.
Required Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- at least 3 years' experience in the past 6 years in older adult care
- Holds a post-registration management qualification in health or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' management experience within the health or social care sector
- Registered on the appropriate division of the NMBI live register
- Demonstrated track record in clinical and healthcare management
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Effective decision-making abilities with a results-focused approach
- Solid understanding of financial processes and budget considerations
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and work independently
- Strong team player with flexibility to adapt to organisational needs
