Job Summary
Lead direct care staff in delivering nursing services to enable residents to attain or maintain physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Establish overall quality of services, supervise nursing personnel, and ensure timely completion of resident assessments at pre-admission, admission, and semi-annual intervals. Participate in recruitment and hiring of nursing staff, evaluate performance, and address disciplinary actions per company policy. Coordinate nursing services with maintenance, pharmacy, dietary, and housekeeping departments while ensuring compliance with state regulations. Market the community through tours, health fairs, and civic group engagements. Work primarily during day hours with flexibility for varying schedules and call time sharing.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a current, active, and non-restricted nursing license in the state the community is located in.
- Maintain CPR and First Aid Certification per state regulations.
- Knowledge of current state laws and regulations that apply to the practice of nursing in an assisted living setting.
- Meet annual continuing education hours required for nursing license, if applicable.
- Able to work primarily day hours, willingness to work varying hours as needed.
- Able to share with other nurses, 'call' time regarding resident care needs.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
