Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) oversees nursing care delivery in the PCM facility for inmates at the Anne Arundel County Detention Centers, ensuring compliance with PCM standards and NCCHC/ACA guidelines. Responsibilities include administrative reporting and staffing supervision, policy adherence, and collaboration with Health Services Administrator, Medical Director, and external providers. Clinical duties encompass nursing care, health counseling, sick calls, intake assessments, medication management, and clinical coordination to maintain ongoing, quality nursing care for inmates. Requirements include Maryland RN licensure and prior management/leadership experience within a medical facility or emergency department, with strong decision-making, communication, and clinical competency. Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland
- Previous management experience in a medical facility or more than 3 years experience working in an emergency department
