Job Summary
Director of Nursing (PPEC) oversees the case management of children admitted for Day Health Center-Based Services, collaborating with the Center Administrator to ensure safe delivery of care in a pediatric population with medically fragile needs. Responsible for coordinating daily clinical activities, staffing patterns, emergency response, and documentation compliance; assumes Acting Administrator duties in the absence of the Center Administrator. Leads staff education, develops comprehensive care plans, coordinates with other providers, oversees admissions collaboration, and participates in staff training, QA processes, budget and operational reporting, and on-call rotations. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and Florida RN license; nursing leadership experience and pediatrics expertise strongly preferred; CPR certification required with PALS preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- current Florida RN license required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year in nursing management and leadership
- CPR certification required
- PALS certification preferred
- Experience in pediatrics, especially with medically fragile children
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources
