Job Summary
Direct the entire nursing staff across departments by supervising, interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating employees while ensuring 24/7/365 staffing compliance. Implement business management, planning, and human resource functions to maintain optimal care quality and manage human resources for both the agency and employees. Develop policies and procedures promoting client physical and emotional health while investigating incident reports and resolving complaints. Be available during daily operating hours and on-call after hours for clinical consultation and coverage gaps. Ensure no more than a 5% annual accrual in overtime hours. Manage DSM-5 nomenclature, Baker Act Law, Marchman Act Law, DCF Program Standards, and CARF Accreditation Standards.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse in the State of Florida with appropriate education, licensure, and demonstrated ability in nursing practice and administration
- Minimum of five years' experience as a general staff nurse with psychiatric inpatient or clinical experience
- Minimum of three years' experience in management/supervision
- Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the use of personal computers, and standard office productivity software
- A valid Class E Drivers' License for positions that require driving personal or Agency vehicle on Agency business
- Must maintain a minimum Bodily Injury & Property Liability insurance limit of at least $50,000 for positions that require driving personal own vehicle (POV) on Agency business
- Must be available as needed when required (24/7 Agency)
- Knows DSM-5 nomenclature, Baker Act Law/Marchman Act Law and criteria, DCF Program Standards, CARF Accreditation Standards and best practices in nursing care
