Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with orders of the physicians and total needs of the residents. The RN will supervise Nursing Services 24 hours a day and direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in line with federal, state, and company standards. In the Administrator's absence, the Director of Nursing will assume the center's operations. The nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) will be conducted under the State Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include coordinating plans for total resident care in compliance with physician orders and regulations, communicating policies to nursing staff, participating in admissions decisions, and contributing to management team discussions. Qualifications include RN licensure in the practiced state, an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school, and supervisory experience in nursing (with five years of long-term or acute care preferred and at least two years of supervisory experience).
