Job Summary
Define and maintain nursing practice standards by overseeing staff, coordinating resident care, and managing medications per physician orders. Assess resident conditions to modify treatment plans, maintain accurate records, and update departmental policies. Develop and implement a continuous Quality Assurance Program while reporting issues to the Administrator. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and safety regulations through required training and meetings. Assist families and visitors as needed. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of previous long-term care experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed in the applicable state as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Experience with the applicable state Survey Rules & Regulations
- Experience with Medicare
- Experience with Medicaid
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience managing staff
- Prior experience working in a long-term care and/or assisted living setting
