Job Summary
Manage the Labor and Delivery, Maternal Child Health, and NICU departments with 24-hour administrative responsibility, supervising, assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care delivery. Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with regulations, while directly supervising and evaluating all assigned personnel. Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration verbally and in writing, respond to codes throughout the hospital, and oversee patient care for adolescent, adult, and older adult patients in the operative environment. Formulate departmental budgets and consult with the Nurse Executive on nursing issues and policy interpretation.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS (AHA) Certificate
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) (AHA) Certificate
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate
- A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience
- Minimum 5 years experience as a perinatal nurse in an acute care setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
