Job Summary
Lead inpatient Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing departments through 24/7 operational oversight, strategic planning, and performance improvement efforts. Collaborate with executive leadership to advance patient safety, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance while monitoring staffing, productivity, and resource utilization. Foster staff development, professional competency, and engagement across multiple clinical units. Ensure delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care by leading quality initiatives and serving as a mentor for nursing personnel. Requires an active RN license, BSN or Associate degree with healthcare field, and minimum two years of progressive hospital leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associate degree in Nursing plus a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of two (2) years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting, such as Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or a comparable leadership role
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated understanding of hospital operations and patient care management
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's degree in a healthcare-related field
- Additional leadership experience within acute care inpatient services
- Experience leading quality, patient safety, or operational improvement initiatives
