Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) with authority and accountability for nursing services, supervision of the Therapy Department, and overall resident-care management 24/7. Oversees planning and delivery of care for adult and geriatric residents, ensures regulatory compliance, leads an interdisciplinary team, participates in budgeting and staffing, recruits and develops nursing personnel, conducts in-services, and maintains documentation to reflect quality resident care and adherence to policies.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid Nursing License as a registered professional nurse (RN) in good standing in the state of the facility
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in nursing service administration
- Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations pertaining to long-term care
