Job Summary
Director of Nursing at a Chicago home health agency oversees clinical operations and other agency functions to ensure high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include ensuring Medicare guidelines are met, developing and maintaining a Quality Improvement program, coordinating clinical operations, participating in interviewing and evaluating nursing staff, overseeing in-service and competency programs, ensuring care plans align with physician orders, and handling documentation, referrals, labs, and billing-related processes. Requires availability in person or telephonically during business hours and comprehensive knowledge of home health care regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of Illinois.
- Graduate from an NLN accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Three years of experience in home health care or related community nursing organization within the recent five-year period.
- Knowledge of all Federal and State regulations governing home health care.
