Job Summary

Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while monitoring staff adherence to evidence-based standards. Manage resident care by conducting daily rounds, reviewing 24-hour reports, and overseeing admission decisions, care plans, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Supervise nursing staff through performance evaluations, hiring, training, and disciplinary actions while maintaining accurate budgeting and census data. Ensure workplace safety by enforcing infection control programs, OSHA mandates, and emergency preparedness drills. Monitor facility incidents, complaints, and quality indicators to drive continuous improvement and resolve resident or family concerns.

Required Qualifications

  • current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse
  • graduated from an accredited school of nursing
  • Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting
  • minimum of three years' experience in nursing administration or a comparable management position
