Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) at Edgerton Care Center leads the nursing department’s strategy and operations, setting clinical standards, driving regulatory compliance, and developing a high-performing team. Responsible for staffing, training, performance management, quality improvement, and resident-centered care initiatives, with collaboration across residents, families, physicians, and other departments. Requires RN license, long-term care/skilled nursing experience, at least 2 years of nursing leadership in long-term care, knowledge of CMS regulations, strong leadership and communication skills, CPR certification, and the ability to meet physical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin (required) or licensed in any U.S state and be eligible for Wisconsin licensure by reciprocity.
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience
- Minimum of 2 years nursing leadership experience in long-term care
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey processes
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire clinical teams
- Must be English literate and Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- CPR certified
- Ability to meet physical and job-related requirements
