Job Summary
Lead nursing services across Indiana operations by overseeing clinical programs, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance initiatives. Direct healthcare assessments, medication management, and individualized health risk planning while coaching, mentoring, and managing the nursing team. Partner with operational leaders, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to develop clinical best practices and provide on-call leadership for emergent needs. Ensure adherence to Indiana regulations, ICF standards, and organizational policies through clinical audits and corrective action plans. Manage nursing operating budgets, staffing models, and cost-benefit analyses to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued or recognized under the Indiana Nurse Licensure Compact
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Annual negative TB screening
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
- Minimum of five years of nursing experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
- At least two years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of medication administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of RN delegation
- Demonstrated knowledge of aspiration risk management
- Demonstrated knowledge of seizure protocols
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health integration
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention and control
- Demonstrated knowledge of wound care
- Demonstrated knowledge of chronic disease management
- Demonstrated knowledge of person-centered healthcare practices
- Working knowledge of federal and Indiana regulations governing ICF/IID services
- Working knowledge of Indiana Medicaid Waiver programs
- Working knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH privacy requirements
- Working knowledge of BDDS and IDOH incident reporting processes
- Working knowledge of Adult Protective Services reporting requirements
- Working knowledge of other applicable state and federal healthcare regulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop nursing teams
- Demonstrated ability to oversee quality assurance initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to manage nursing operating budgets
- Demonstrated ability to manage staffing models
- Demonstrated ability to manage cost-benefit analyses
- Ability and willingness to teach state-required Med Core A & B training
- Ability and willingness to routinely proctor training
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) or clinical documentation platforms such as Therap
- Quarterly site visits throughout the state
- Some overnight travel required

- Experience supporting licensed IDD, ICF/IID, group home, or similarly regulated residential healthcare environments
