Job Summary
Lead and oversee nursing operations in a 62-bed long-term care community, ensuring regulatory compliance and high clinical standards. Champion a person-centered, home-like care model, coach and mentor nursing leaders and staff, and drive care coordination, occupancy support, staffing effectiveness, budget accountability, and on-call leadership coverage. Partner with interdisciplinary teams on pre-admission reviews and discharge planning, conduct regular rounds to monitor care delivery, enforce policies while fostering growth, and pursue deficiency-free surveys with a non-institutional approach to care. Requires an active RN license in Iowa, CPR certification, and strong knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- License valid in Iowa or ability to activate
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws
- Prior leadership experience within long-term care as an ADON/DON
