Job Summary
Provide clinical services and ensure coverage by staff nurses while maintaining expertise in age-specific procedures and primary health care. Document the nursing process accurately, educate patients and families on diagnoses and care plans, and coordinate patient referrals, medications, and care delivery. Supervise all nurses, delegate activities, and collaborate with the Medical Director to develop and review standard treatment protocols. Monitor patient outcomes, lead compliance and performance improvement activities, and manage infection control programs through staff training and record audits.
Required Qualifications
- Active and currently licensed RN in good standing with the state board of nursing
- CPR certification
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
- Must be able to take call on rotation
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for infection control purposes
- Must be able to lift and carry objects over 10 lbs
- Must be able to assist with or maneuver equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, and Hoyer lifts
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE as required and lift educational materials or small equipment
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for infection control purposes
