Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) leads the nursing department at River Bend Health and Rehabilitation, overseeing daily operations, developing and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing budgets, and guiding an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional resident care. Responsibilities include policy development, program oversight, staff supervision, collaboration with the medical director and department heads, monitoring quality of care, identifying improvements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and allocating resources to meet resident and staff needs. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning are required, with emphasis on fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and integrity while maintaining care standards aligned with industry best practices. The role requires a Master’s degree in nursing or a related field and an active NC RN license.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Director of Nursing or in a similar leadership role
- Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of North Carolina
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
