Job Summary
Director of Nursing Services (DON) role overseeing nursing services for a faith-based, non-profit long-term care facility. Responsible for developing nursing service objectives and performance standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, directing and supervising resident care, assessing resident care needs, developing individualized resident care plans, directing scheduling and staffing, recruiting and conducting interviews, implementing disciplinary actions as needed, preparing employee performance evaluations and HR changes, directing educational programs, participating in budgeting, and coordinating resident admissions, transfers and discharges. Requires RN license in Massachusetts, nursing leadership experience, and a track record in change management within long-term care. The organization emphasizes mission-focused resident care and staff support within a Berkshire County setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensed as an RN in Massachusetts
- Two (2) years experience as a Director of Nursing
- Five (5) years experience inLong-Term Care
