Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) licensed RN in NY to lead nursing administration in a jail’s medical department. Manages and evaluates nursing care delivery in line with Personalcare philosophy and NCCHC/ACA standards; reports to Health Services Administrator/Medical Director; develops and monitors staffing, schedules, and coverage; ensures compliance with standards; coordinates with facility staff, contracted providers, and Corporate Staff; provides health counseling, oversees sick calls and intake assessments, and supports continuous care through inter-shift reporting; requires robust leadership, clinical competency, and strong communication/decision-making abilities; full-time position located in Kingston, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York
- Previous management experience of a medical facility or 3 years experience in an emergency department
- Experience in health care delivery system
- Decision making ability
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Leadership ability
- Demonstrate clinical competency
