Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) oversees nursing care delivery in the PCM-linked correctional facility; you will supervise and develop nursing staff, ensure compliance with PCM standards and NCCHC/ACA, prepare reports, and coordinate with Health Services Administrator and Medical Director. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate controlled substances records, providing health counseling and sick calls for inmates, coordinating intake assessments, ensuring continuity of care between shifts, and participating in pre-release planning with facility staff. Requires maintaining professional nursing practice, orientation and evaluation of nursing personnel, adherence to policies, and use of sound independent judgment. Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Hampshire
- Previous management experience of a medical facility or more or 3 years' experience working in an emergency department
- Experience in health care delivery system
- Decision making ability required
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Leadership ability required
- Demonstrate clinical competency
