Job Summary
Oversee and manage daily nursing operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility and licensed areas, ensuring comprehensive, person-centered care for all residents. Maintain full compliance with IDPH/CMS regulations and the Nurse Practice Act while implementing Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate nursing personnel including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to foster a collaborative environment. Develop and review nursing policies, standards of care, and departmental budgets covering labor, supplies, and equipment. Collaborate with physicians, department heads, and families to coordinate effective care delivery. Requires current unencumbered Illinois RN license, minimum two years of DON experience in an SNF or LTC setting, and expert knowledge of federal and state regulations. Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting
Desired Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of Federal and Illinois State regulations, survey processes, and quality improvement methodologies (QAPI)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a large team of nursing professionals
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
