Job Summary
Supervise all nursing staff and plan, develop, organize, and implement the day-to-day functions of the nursing department. Oversee department budgets and communicate with doctors, residents, and family members regarding resident health. Implement new procedures and train nurses on policies while maintaining familiarity with medical software and equipment. Requires 2 years of experience as a DON or ADON in long-term care, an Illinois-registered RN in good standing, and strong critical thinking skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- 2 years experience as a DON or an ADON in long term care
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois in good standing
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment (PointClickCare)
- Ability to build rapport with patients and staff
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
