Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) leadership role at a newly acquired skilled nursing facility in Pittsburgh. Provide overall direction and leadership for the nursing department; ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations; oversee hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management of nursing staff; lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness; collaborate with the Administrator, physicians, and interdisciplinary team to achieve outcomes; develop and manage staffing plans to ensure appropriate coverage; build a positive, resident-centered culture.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania
- Prior DON or ADON experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations, PDPM, and survey processes
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to foster staff development and maintain a culture of accountability and compassion
