Director of Nursing DON

Manage nursing services staff, therapy department functions, and overall resident care under the Administrator's supervision, assuming full facility responsibility during absences. Direct skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for residents with therapeutic, neuro, dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, infectious disease, and wound care needs. Supervise, evaluate, counsel, and discipline personnel while assisting in recruitment, interviewing, selection, and termination. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Health Department directives through periodic reviews of documentation, resident care plans, and facility requirements. Develop and update philosophy statements, plan staff development programs, and participate in budgeting and interdisciplinary committee meetings. Maintain a current Indiana nursing license with at least two years of nursing service administration management experience.
