Director of Nursing (DON)

Director of Nursing for Assisted Living and Independent Living. Responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and coordination of nursing services within the Assisted Living and Independent Living areas of the community, ensuring high-quality resident care while complying with state and federal regulations and facility policies. Provides compassionate leadership, mentorship, and advocacy for residents and staff. Essential duties include supervising nursing operations, conducting rounds, ensuring documentation and physician orders compliance, developing nursing care objectives and procedures, handling emergencies, coordinating staffing and policies, enforcing infection control and PPE policies, coordinating resident care plans and restorative activities, participating in departmental meetings, and promoting resident dignity and quality of life.
