Job Summary
Director of Nursing for Assisted Living and Independent Living. Responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and coordination of nursing services within the Assisted Living and Independent Living areas of the community, ensuring high-quality resident care while complying with state and federal regulations and facility policies. Provides compassionate leadership, mentorship, and advocacy for residents and staff. Essential duties include supervising nursing operations, conducting rounds, ensuring documentation and physician orders compliance, developing nursing care objectives and procedures, handling emergencies, coordinating staffing and policies, enforcing infection control and PPE policies, coordinating resident care plans and restorative activities, participating in departmental meetings, and promoting resident dignity and quality of life. Required Qualifications
- Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university
- Must maintain a current and valid State Registered Nurse (RN) license and CPR certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care, assisted living, or related healthcare setting
- Strong supervisory, leadership, and management skills required
- Must possess excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate nursing staff in a positive and professional manner
- Must be a compassionate caregiver and experienced leader with a positive and outgoing personality
