Job Summary
Provide overall leadership and oversight of the nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care, including conducting regular rounds to monitor staff performance and the environment. Accountable for clinical outcomes such as falls, pressure injuries, infections, and hospital readmissions while maintaining continuous survey readiness and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Lead quality improvement initiatives using data and metrics to drive decision-making, oversee infection prevention programs, and manage staffing, scheduling, and budget development to optimize labor costs and operational performance. Develop and retain a high-performing team through effective hiring, coaching, and performance management, ensuring orientation, training, and competency development for all nursing personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active, unrestricted license in the state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical practices
- Current CPR certification
- Must be available for evenings, weekends, and emergencies
- On-call responsibility
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing
