Job Summary
Director of Nursing (RN) leading a Skilled Nursing Facility in Ashland, WI. Oversee nursing department operations, ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness. Drive quality improvement initiatives (QAPI), infection prevention, staffing and scheduling, budgeting and cost management, and staff development. Lead and mentor nursing personnel, maintain licensure/certification requirements, ensure CPR certification for licensed staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve clinical outcomes. May provide direct nursing care as needed and participate in administrative activities in the absence of the Executive Director. Emphasizes resident rights, HIPAA compliance, safety, professional conduct, and a culture of accountability and resident-centered care. Requires active RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and frequent movement within a long-term care environment; on-call availability for evenings, weekends, and emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active, unrestricted license in the state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical practices
- Current CPR certification
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing
- Demonstrated experience with survey readiness and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing staffing, budgets, and operational performance
- Leadership Competencies: Strategic thinking, communication, change management, integrity, accountability, professionalism
- Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvement
