Job Summary
Director of Nursing (DON) leading the clinical home care team in Union County, NJ. Oversee CHHAs, LPNs, and RNs; maintain hands-on clinical leadership with patient visits and field support; conduct assessments, supervisory visits, and clinical reviews; support wound care and infusion therapy; ensure compliance with NJ Board of Nursing, Division of Consumer Affairs, NJ home care regulations, and Joint Commission standards; lead clinical audits and documentation reviews; recruit, mentor, and supervise clinical staff; grow skilled nursing and wellness service revenue; build referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, rehab facilities, discharge planners, and BrightStar Care National Accounts; foster a positive clinical culture and develop new clinical programs.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
- BSN required (MSN preferred)
- 3+ years of leadership experience in home care, home health, or post-acute care
- Experience with wound care, infusion therapy, or complex skilled nursing preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of NJ home care regulations and compliance
