Job Summary
Provide leadership and strategic direction to the nursing department, overseeing training, development, and staffing levels for skilled nursing staff. Implement policies, procedures, and clinical protocols while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, monitor nursing care outcomes, and lead quality improvement initiatives. Mentor nursing personnel, guide admission and patient care procedures, and participate in care conferences to foster resident-centered environments.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Proven leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Track record of effectively leading and managing nursing teams
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on resident needs
- Thorough understanding of nursing practice standards
- Understanding of regulatory requirements
- Understanding of quality improvement principles
- Excellent communication skills
