Job Summary
Oversee daily operations for all direct clinical services and nursing scope of practice to ensure optimal patient care consistent with the Health Center's vision. Develop and mature the department management infrastructure while collaborating with the CMO to implement clinical workflows that promote quality measurements and safe care. Manage QI and PI projects with QA/QI/PI, Corporate Compliance & Risk Manager, and evaluate staffing patterns to ensure maximum efficiency. Counsel clinical staff on personnel issues, conduct training and orientation for all clinical and non-provider personnel, and establish priorities regarding fund availability. Monitor expenses and revenues in relation to the budget, evaluate clinical competencies for Nursing and Medical Assisting staff, and travel to local community meetings and Mass League Nurse Leaders meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of 5 years experience of clinical experience
- 3 years progressive managerial experience
- Preferred experience within a primary healthcare ambulatory care setting
- Previous experience in performance improvement, developing and implementing new models of care, leading transformational change, and clinical operations
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- BSN
- MS preferred
- Licensed as an R.N. by the MA Board of Registration
- BLS
- Computer skills for accurate data entry
- Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced medical office environment
- Normal visual acuity
- Standard clerical dexterity to operate computers, printers, photocopiers, and fax machines
- Ability to travel to local community meetings and the all Health Centers
- Ability to attend periodic meetings with Nurse Leaders at the Mass League
