Job Summary
Plan, develop, and direct nursing services for the Skilled Nursing Unit (39 beds) and Assisted Living Areas (71 beds) at the Franklin Campus, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitor resident care to ensure dignity and respect, lead daily team meetings, and participate in government agency surveys and the admission process. Develop nursing policies, evaluate staff performance, collaborate with physicians, and assist with hiring and in-service training. Report and investigate allegations of abuse or neglect. Work with a dedicated scheduling manager and on-site physician services to deliver compassionate care. Licensed RN in Michigan with a BSN and three years of supervisory experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a long term care facility, hospital, or other related health care facility
- Experience in geriatric and rehabilitative nursing practices
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
- Demonstrates success in staff supervision and team management
- Proficient with commonly used computer programs (Outlook, Microsoft Teams) and electronic charting system (PointClickCare)
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
