Job Summary
Directs and oversees the community's clinical operations, providing strategic leadership and day-to-day management of nursing services to ensure safe, high-quality, and person-centered care. Leads the clinical team (nurses, resident assistants, CNAs, medication technicians), develops and implements service plans, drives regulatory readiness and quality assurance, coordinates with surveyors, and maintains infection control and compliance programs. Responsibilities include supervising staff, hiring/training, overseeing medications and eMAR accuracy, coordinating with pharmacy and community relations, ensuring ISPs align with state regulations, and collaborating with residents and families to support independence and well-being. Requires an active RN or LPN license and at least three years of nursing experience; CPR/BLS certification and dementia-care knowledge are preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and digital tooling skills (EHR and Microsoft Office) are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current, active state license as an LPN or RN (RN or LPN license required).
- A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience preferred.
- CPR or BLS certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of person-directed care practices for seniors, including those with dementia, preferred.
- Experience with preadmission assessments, training, and education to staff, residents, and family members.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within a senior living community or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), electronic health record systems, and HR-related systems as applicable.
